The Nightwood Society Dinner

Join us, learn something new about an old favorite, and enjoy an easy dinner before you kick off your holiday celebrations.

Our friend Sarah Schafer of Irving Street Kitchen will take over our own kitchen on Thursday, November 16 for an around-the-world-tour featuring rice dishes that just might change they way you feel about this great grain. Sarah is preparing a vegetarian menu that connects with the stories of harvest and abundance from cultures around the globe. Our drink menu will feature SakeOne and Momokawa sake, wine, and cocktails that perfectly pair with the fragrant flavors of the evening, finishing with toasted rice tea from Smith Teamaker.

Thanksgiving is just around the bend and we can’t wait to gather with loved ones at the table. Before you start thinking of turkey and all the trimmings, we want to offer an intriguing counterpoint to the typical holiday feast. Rice, the hero of pantries across the world, is more colorful, flavorful, and legendary (yep, we mean it) than you’ve imagined.
